The 6″ pruning saw is lightweight and compact, making it the perfect option for light limb cutting and trimming.
The 6-inch pruning saw has a Makita brushless motor that provides optimal cutting performance. It features a “tool-free” chain adjustment for convenient operation and maintenance, as well as a retractable guard for convenient operation and maintenance. The XCU14 can perform up to 140 cuts in 2″ cedar with one fully charged 18V LXT® 2.0Ah battery.

For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita has created Star Protection Computer Controls™. Star Protection is a communication technology that allows the tool and the battery equipped with Star Protection to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overload, over-discharge, and overheating. For added versatility, the tool can also be powered by Makita® 18V LXT® lithium-ion batteries with a star symbol on the battery indicating Star Protection inside.
